Remember that you need at least 48 hours of recovery time before working out a muscle again with resistance training.

Here’s how you can spot if you’re pushing too hard at the gym:

  • Muscle soreness that lasts for longer that what you normally feel
  • Persistent fatigue
  • Elevated resting heart rate
  • Irritability
  • Lack of motivation or feeling stale
  • Diminishing workout performance

If you are feeling like maybe you pushed yourself a bit too hard, you need to give yourself enough time to recover and eat adequate protein. In addition, the Olumia Life nutrient timing strategy is very helpful.
